Point of View and Café Momento

In 2020, The Gifted Group, a retail and hospitality company based in Fort Worth, Texas, launched a new project—a bookstore and café tailored for artists and designers in Fort Worth called Point of View and Café Momento. At the project's onset, the company enlisted help to brand the establishment and infuse it with a unique design language to appeal to the local artistic community. The initial focus was on designing the bookstore to help guide the branding of the café for a harmonious overall feel. Drawing inspiration from various sources like publishers, art, and design influences, we created a branding system using grid lines, and typography to inspire and imbue the space with a literary feeling. Cafe Momento, an extension of Point of View, adopted some branding elements while incorporating its own twist, featuring the same typeface with hand-drawn illustrations for a welcoming yet sophisticated feel. Both venues, Point of View and Café Momento, are now housed at PS 1200 in Fort Worth, Texas.
